Again!

Just what the heck goes on at the end of this road at night anyway. Isn't it the second, or is it the third, time this year? Whoever this driver was hit that gate hard and fast - the battery is the sort of boxy shape off to the left seventy feet beyond the gate, rivers of fluid stain the tarmac from it back to the gate, bits of shiny plastic and faux-chrome are scattered everywhere as if the vehicle were blown to smithereens, and that six inch (or is it eight inch) diameter steel center post to which the gates once swung has been completely ripped from the ground, and cast to the side like it was nothing. I don't even see any skid marks, which makes me believe the driver hit at full speed; and that speed had to have been pretty fast.

A little good news - the repair stand escaped the carnage. Again.

Honestly, this is who we share the streets with. Not much you can do when someone like that is around, but be careful out there anyway.
