Friday Feedbag and Quotable Links...

This edition of the Friday Feedbag is all about the commute:

"I have spent about half my working life without a car..."

"...you don't have to be some kind of freak to use them." A story from the Atlantic Cities, which gives a nod to the long distance commuter, those who travel greater distances by bike each morning to get in to work, but recognizes that, by far, most bicycle commuters travel far shorter distances, distances well within the capabilities of more Americans.

"...the agency hopes the share of bike trips in San Francisco increases from its current level of 3.5 percent of all travel to 8 to 10 percent by 2018.." and what the City of San Francisco is proposing to bring this about.
